Club Malasaña opened it’s doors in February of 2020, a nightclub in the heart of Madrid’s Malasaña district, drawing close inspiration from the iconic 60’s New York establishment, Studio 54.
You enter to walls of vertically oriented strips of gold mirrored glass, red velvet curtains and deep red carpets, softly lit by crystal chandeliers. In the main salon, guests are made to feel at home with blue and red soft furnishings again softly lit by wall and ceiling mounted chandeliers Quilted velvet walls surround the room, with large gold palm trees leading to the sunken hard wood dance floor in the centre of the space.
To the right of the dance floor, a large mural by artist Ignasi Montreal, painted in a typical Madrid taberna style (with an atypical twist) are the backdrop for the three VIP areas, isolated by thick velvet curtains that can be closed for privacy.
A second stage to the project will involve redeveloping the basement floor in a similar style to the main salon, that will be named ‘the office’ and is set to open later in 2020.
